Remember that Spain has not been free for long, Franco died just 30 years ago. The society model we are offered does not aim at freedom, but at a “soft slavery”. The classical education channels are drilling kids to make them fit to the system. Freedom of speech, thought and action are slowly fading away, as is the will to learn to be an independant thinker, unfortunately.
