Social media tempts us all into sharing even apparently minor aspects of our lives, but when it comes to the meetings we work at, we must not disclose anything – even innocent snippets might give away something that should be kept secret. Do not be lulled into a false sense of security because of the anonymous nature of the medium – just keep it to yourself. And also ask yourself: why am I telling people this? To make myself look important, to big myself up, to show I am party to inside information, that I rub shoulders with the great and good?
You are first and foremost a professional – act like one.
